Website Deconstruction
- This is the homepage. The first thing the visitor sees and it doesn’t look like a typical movie website, with no advert for creaters, no reviews etc.
- The links are placed on a old piece of paper, with old looking font and symbol highlighting history of the film and this is reinforced by the actual writing in a normal font on the right “The house in Amityville has become the stuff of legend...the basis for several bestselling books and smash-hit movies” also highlighting bullet point one.
- Colour scheme of black and white, curiously no red. Subverting stereotypes. “The Amityville Horror” title font is white and blurred giving it a supernatural edge, which links to the white strike of lighting.
- Only picture is of the house in grey scale, looking haunted.
